Ceremonial Breathwork Community

It's Breathwork.
But really, it's
Heartwork.

A breathwork community built around what happens when people stop performing and bodies start to soften, one breath at a time, and new stories are born.

Your body holds your truth

You've been holding it together for a very long time.

Somewhere underneath, something hasn't moved in a long time. A feeling you can't quite name. A version of yourself you can't quite reach anymore.

You learned to perform. To produce. To keep moving. To smile when asked how you are and give the answer that keeps things simple. And it worked, until now.

The body doesn't hold tension because of weakness. It holds tension because it learned to, in environments that didn't feel safe for you.

The nervous system adapted using your body, perhaps your throat feels tightened, limiting your voice, maybe your hips are braced, or maybe you've turned down the volume on truly feeling yourself.

The body's protective mechanism and learned suppression don't simply turn themselves off when the environment that caused it changes.

The body holds on to what has been suppressed,
still waiting for a signal that it's safe
to put the protective guard down.

your invitation

Breath Stories is your invitation to let your body soften.

Breathing as a doorway into the parts of yourself you've been protecting. Into what your body has been holding, maybe for decades.

We have all carried our own story for a long time, and here is where the breath can open up new insights into your story, and maybe even start to write new ones.

As we breathe together, we allow what has been stored to surface, and as we experience we also witness without fixing. We co-create through breath, through stories, through unconditional presence.

The breath is your guide. The sharing circles are where it lands. The stories hold the authenticity of what we co-create together. What you experience every week we breathe might be different, and that's where things start to get interesting.

what we do

This is Breath
Stories

A global breathwork community built around weekly, live breathwork circles, breathing online (and in person when possible), shares from breathers whoever feels moved to share, and conversations that continue between sessions within the community.

No 5-day trauma resets. No 30-day nervous-system challenges. Not Wim Hof or intense breathing.

Just slow, conscious breathing, guided by unconditional human presence.

You show up exactly as you are. You breathe. Something moves, or it doesn't. There's no pressure to perform, and nothing to get right. After the breathing, we sit together, there is space to share your experience in your own words. Nothing gets analyzed, advised, or fixed. Just witnessed in presence.

No experience needed.
If you're breathing, you're ready.

We Allow

We allow for whatever is being stored to surface, without force, without agenda. The breath guides you to safety, allowing your body to tell you what it needs in the moment.

We Witness

As you breathe or share your breathing experiences in the circles, we hold space without fixing or advising. Just witnessing in presence, letting minds soften and hearts open at their own pace.

We Co-Create

Through our gathering, story-sharing, listening, and breathing together, we create a space where exploring what's inside feels genuinely safe and unconditional.

breathing into our presence

As we breathe, we celebrate what it feels like to be human.

Whatever is present, hiding, or surfacing within you; clarity, grief, numbness, anger, curiosity, resistance, emptiness - it's all human and you can come as you are. Here is where you can slowly, softly lean into what your body wants to tell you and what you're holding, using the breath as your frequency and tool.

The breath has a way of showing us what the mind can't access.

Words from fellow breathers

What our breathwork circles can hold for you

Kris you facilitated such a gentle yet powerful healing journey. I felt I was in a time and space that was both ancient and timeless, grounded in my body, and at the same time connected to the great eternal spirit we are all part of. Thanks so much!

Kris has a grounded, deeply present masculine energy that makes me feel genuinely safe and held. His presence naturally invites me to open, express myself more fully, and access parts of myself that don't often emerge. There's a quiet steadiness in the way he holds space that allows me to soften, trust, and simply be.

Your breathwork session with me really was such a gift. Your capacity to hold such a beautiful space with presence helped me move through the session in a way I hadn't experienced before. I felt lighter and clearer and more connected to myself than I had in a long time. Thank you Kris!

founding story

A space born from story. Built for yours.

Hi, I'm Kris. I grew up in Sweden, but left in 2012 after graduating business school exploring Melbourne, Istanbul, Berlin, Munich, Costa Rica, and for the last three years, life as a digital nomad across Southeast Asia in search of something more meaningful, authentic and ways to support others with similar stories and struggles to my own.

What I didn't expect to find in the middle of all that searching was breathwork.

Kris, founder of Breath Stories

By the time I was building a career, I wasn't hiding my emotions anymore, I'd genuinely lost access to them. Living on autopilot: showing up, performing, delivering, smiling when asked how I was, giving the answer that kept the meeting moving.

From the outside, nothing was wrong. I didn't have a word for it for a long time. Eventually I learned the word is numbness, and that suppression and numbness doesn't ask permission before it becomes the default setting, to the point my body even started to show symptoms of disease.

Breathwork is what cracked me open back in 2025. Not therapy, not yoga, not coaching, not trying harder to think my way through it. The breath allowed my body to do something my mind had been avoiding and couldn't do for almost 30 years.

The deeper insights came in the sharing circles in the end of each breathwork session I attended. The moment the breath quiets and someone describes their new and profound experience out loud for the first time, and the room shifts. Nobody fixed anything. Nobody needed to. And everyone leaves the room with even more curiosity.

That's when I understood: no one is broken. Our bodies and nervous systems set up to protect us from what we can't even name. We've learned to keep performing in environments that never made room for the body to feel safe enough to soften.

Breath Stories is that space. A place where you're met with presence, so your body has the chance to show you what it's been holding. I'm not here to tell you what that is, or what to do with it. That part isn't mine. That's your story, whether you choose to share it with the rest of us or not.

Everyone has their own story, but we all share the same breath, which always leads us back to our hearts.

It's breathwork.
But really, it's heartwork.

A note on safety

Your safety is our absolute top priority.

The foundation to a great breathwork experience is safety in the room. However, Breath Stories is not a medical practice and does not replace professional medical care. The breathwork we use is not recommended for bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, acute heart conditions, epilepsy, or delicate pregnancy. If you are on strong medication or have a serious health condition, please consult your doctor before joining a session.

If any of this applies to you, reach out before we breathe together. There are gentler breath patterns that may be more suitable, and we'll find the right way to include you.
